First Step at the Main Campus or Rimrock Downtown

This casual, one-time class gives you an opportunity to: learn more about Rimrock Church, ask questions, get connected, meet staff, visit with Elders, and meet new friends.  This spring's First Step choices will be on March 2nd or May 4th at the Main Campus at 10:30 am in Room 201/Gathering Place or on March 2nd or May 4th at 10:30 a.m. at Rimrock Downtown.  For more information, contact Julie at getconnected@rimrockchurch.com.

Community Membership Class at the Main Campus

This two-part series is an invitation to membership at Rimrock Church and gives insight into becoming actively engaged in our Rimrock worship community. Meeting two consecutive Sundays at the Main Campus March 16th and 23rd at 10:30 a.m. in Room 201/The Gathering Place. For more information, contact Julie at getconnected@rimrockchurch.com.

Young Adults Group: Acts

  • Kids' Ministry (Infant to 5th Grade)
    • 9:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. in Kids Ministry Rooms
    • We are in the middle of a 3-year journey exploring the big story of the Bible, using The Gospel Project. Led by Boomer Roland, Rachel Benham & Leslie Homa.  
  • Youth Ministry (Middle School & High School)
    • 9:00 a.m. - Middle School meets in the Youth Center, High School meets in the A-Frame
    • We are in the middle of a 3-year journey, exploring the big story of the Bible, using The Gospel Project.  Middle School is led by Lindsey Hodgson. High School is led by Josh Hodgson.
  • Gospel of Matthew
    • 9:00 a.m. in Main Campus Room 201
    • Join us for this verse-by-verse study and discussion that emphasizes Jesus is the Messiah King. Led by Sherman Westvig & Daren Beckloff.
  • Sit, Walk Stand
    • 9:00 a.m. in Main Campus Library
    • Using the book by Watchman Nee, we will look at Ephesians, and the believer’s association with Christ, the world, and Satan.  Led Jim Aasgard.
  • 1 Corinthians
    • 9:00 a.m. in Main Campus Room 109
    • Considered by many to be one of Paul's most difficult and broad-ranging letters. Join us for additional background and discussion of the Pastor's sermons as we wade through a wide scope of imminently relevant topics. Led by Christian Dietz, Lee Miller, and Boomer Roland.
  • Book of James

    • A verse-by-verse study. Led by Mikel Homa.

  • Women’s Study: God of Freedom
    •  9:00–11:00 a.m. in Main Campus Room 109
    • A study of Exodus 19-40. In this 10-session verse-by-verse study, Jen Wilkin invites you to discover a new perspective on Exodus & what these stories can tell you about today. Led by Wyonne Kaemingk and Kathy Breedlove.

  • Preschool Kids Ministry
    • Meeting in Preschool Rooms
    • Each Wednesday night, preschoolers will review the story from Sunday with new activities and hands-on stations. Led by Rachel Benham & the Kid’s Ministry Team.
  • Kids' Ministry (1st to 5th Grade)
    • Meeting in Kids Ministry Rooms
    • Kids will be in disciple groups.  Together with their group leaders they will focus on loving Jesus fully by obeying Jesus fully.  As we consider the life of Jesus & the Spirit’s work in Acts, kids will be encouraged to know & obey God’s Word. Led by Boomer Roland & the Kids' Ministry Team.
  • Youth Ministry (6th-12th Grade)
    • Meeting in the Youth Center.
    • Join us for a time of worship, teaching & small groups, with fellowship & application of God's Word. Led by Josh Hodgson & the youth ministry team.
  • Church History
    •  6:30 p.m. in Main Campus Room 202
    • The first 1000 years. Led by Mikel Homa.
  • Men’s Group: Parables of Jesus 
    • 6:30 p.m. at Main Campus Library
    • Join us as we learn from Jesus’ teaching in the parables. Led by Josh Nebelsick & Ben Green.
  • Men’s Group: The Life of Christ - A Journey Through the Gospel of Mark
    • 6:30 p.m. in Main Campus office kitchen
    • Join us for a winter study of the Gospel of Mark, where we will explore the life, teachings, and miracles of Jesus as seen through Mark’s perspective. This series will deepen our understanding of Christ’s mission, His profound impact, and His call to follow Him. Led by Daren Beckloff and Tim Shoemaker.
  • Women’s Study: Women of the Word Foundations
    • 6:30 p.m. in Main Campus Room 201
    • This small group takes us through the foundations of the faith. This two-semester class will explore the importance of biblical theology and solid Bible study practices as we go through two books, You Are A Theologian by Jen Wilkin and JT English, and Women Of The Word by Jen Wilkin. Led by Katie Nebelsick.
  • Women’s Study: Women of the Word Colossians
    • 6:30 p.m. in Main Campus Room 109
    • Have you already completed our small group "Foundations" study? If so, continue on with us into the book of Colossians. We will be using the framework that Jen Wilkin lays out in the book, Women Of The Word, to take a deep dive into scripture. Led by Noelle Ligtenberg, Jill Green, and Rachael Cattin.
  • Practicing the Way
    • 6:30 p.m. Main Campus Office lower conference room
    • An introduction to spiritual formation and exploration of the practices seen in Jesus’ life. Meeting in the . Led by Seth and Meaghan Lundeen.

    • Apologetics: the intellectual defense of the truth of the Christian religion. Led by Christian Dietz.

Wednesdays Downtown

  • Sermon Discussion
    • 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Rimrock Downtown Sanctuary
    • Join this group to dive deeper into the sermon together. Led by Mike & Nell Krsnak.
  • Biblical Marriage: 1 + 1>2  Building & Maintaining Marriage around the Gospel & God’s Kingdom Purposes
    • 6:00 p.m. from  February 5th–May 14th, every other week for 8 weeks, at the home of Darwin & Darlis Anderson.

  • Sermon Discussion
    • 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the at Rimrock Downtown Cafe Area
    • Take a deep dive into the sermon each week with this small group. Led by Jana Shankle.

Fridays Downtown

  • Men's Small Group
    • 6:30–7:30 a.m. at the at Rimrock Downtown Cafe Area
    • Come fellowship with other men from Rimrock Downtown. Led by Seth Lundeen.
  • Ladies Small Group
    • 9:00–10:30 a.m. at the Rimrock Downtown Cafe Area
    • This group will meet with a discussion around the sermon series. Childcare will be available. Led by Cynthia Anderson.
  • "To The Ends of the Earth" Prayer Nights
    • 7:00–9:00 p.m. in the Rimrock Downtown Sanctuary
    • Join us on the 1st Friday of every month in the Rimrock Downtown Sanctuary as we pray for our community, our leaders, our country, our world and for those who have not yet been reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Led by Marsha Balsley
