Local Missions

Love Inc.

Cornerstone Rescue Mission

Our church regularly serves dinner at the Cornerstone Rescue Mission as a way to care for our neighbors and support the work being done there. Our youth group serves alongside Josh on the fourth Monday of each month, while Mike Hays’ group serves on the remaining scheduled dates. If you are part of the youth group and would like to help, please contact Josh at josh@rimrockchurch.com. All others interested in serving can contact Mike Hays at mjhays2213@gmail.com.

South Dakota kids belong

South Dakota Kids Belong is a statewide initiative working to ensure every child in foster care has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, loving family. Through their Foster Friendly Communities movement, they partner with churches, businesses, and local leaders to support and strengthen foster families across our state.

At Rimrock, we’re honored to partner with this mission through WRAP teams—small groups of volunteers who “wrap around” foster families with practical, consistent support. These teams provide things like meals, childcare, transportation, home projects, and prayer, helping families foster longer and stronger while reminding them they are not alone. To get involved, email Josh Hodgson at josh@rimrockchurch.com or Meagan Palmer at meagan.palmer57@gmail.com.

Mend Ministry

We're seeking volunteers to help provide durable medical equiptment (such as walkers and wheelchairs) to individuals in need. In partnership with Love INC, Rimrock Church meets these practical needs while sharing the love of Christ through action, kindness, and prayer. Opportunities include coordinating and delivering equipment while directly ministering to participants. To join the Mend Ministry Team, fill out this form.

If you are in need of medical equipment, please reach out to the Love Inc help desk directly.

Star village

Rimrock has partnered with the Rapid City Police Department’s Outreach Division through their “Adopt a Neighborhood” initiative in Star Village, which reduces crime by building relationships and strengthening communities. Over the past two summers, we’ve co-hosted biweekly community gatherings with yard games, kids’ activities, meals, and meaningful connections. We also partner with Mike’s Bikes for bike repairs and builds along with Fountain Springs Church for neighborhood serve days offering home repairs, trash removal, and family events that foster community.

Our heart is to share the Gospel through both words and actions—building trust, strengthening families, and cultivating lasting community transformation.

Looking ahead, we’re exploring a neighborhood food pantry or co-op to address food insecurity while deepening relationships, empowering neighbors out of poverty, and opening doors for classes, mentoring, and Bible studies in Star Village.
