Womens Ministries

Our desire through the women's ministry at Rimrock is to create inviting opportunities for women to grow in the Lord together, get to know other women and enjoy ministering to one another or along side one another. This is done through a variety of ways including bible studies & special events. Take a look at what God is doing in our women's ministry:

Captivating (Stasi & John Eldridge): Your heart matters more than anything else in all creation. The desires you had as a little girl and the longings you still feel as a woman are telling you of the life God created you to live. He offers to come now as the Hero of your story, to rescue your heart and release you to live as a fully alive and feminine woman, a woman who is truly captivating. Sundays @ 10:30 am in the Conference Room. Led by  Amy Gusso.
"Fully Alive" - Meeting God in Scripture (Jan Johnson): Jesus is speaking to us here and now. Lectio divina is a practice of Scripture
reading that treats the Bible not only as a text to be examined, but also as the living Word of God spoken anew to us.  Move beyond merely understanding what the text meant in its original context to a direct spiritual encounter with Christ. 1st & 3rd Tues, 9 am at the Exchange. Led by Lornell H (431-2826), Laura Longville, Chris Schmit.
Early Morning Gals - "Armor of God" (Priscilla Shirer):  Tuesdays @ 6:30 am, 2001 1st Ave. Led by Phyllis Sletten (605) 381-3739
Apples of Gold: This 6 week mentoring ministry is where the “older” teach the “younger” ladies about marriage, parenting, etc.
Preschool Story Hour: Moms are invited to bring their preschool age kids for story time!
We will offer a story, crafts, snacks and fun for the little ones while moms enjoys coffee and conversation with others. Generally During The School Year. Thursdays @ 9:30 am at the Exchange. Led by Becky Rice (605) 721-7393 & Dee Hays (605) 343-4821

The vision for this single mom’s ministry is that of discipleship, for the purpose of drawing nearer to the heart of God, knowing Him and making Him known. The result, as God so moves, would be moms learning of and practicing surrendered living; able to give to their children on a spiritual level, as Christ does the work through them. Finally, the prayer is that God would use the mothers within this ministry to move beyond the wall of a local church body and into the community to minister to the hearts and lives of single mothers in the community, sharing the Love and Salvation message of Jesus Christ.

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry:
Shawls are lovingly handmade (knit, crochet or woven) out of soft yarn, prayed over by those who make it then wrapped around someone who needs comfort. They offer a vehicle through which hurting people can feel the loving arms of Jesus. Join Donna Wilkening & friends at the Exchange monthly. Contact Donna with any questions at (605) 391-5838.
