Connecting Activities

Connecting activities are opportunities to connect through common interests, activities, age and season of life.

Connecting activities bring people together to enjoy a common interest and build friendships. The intent is to encourage relationships by getting Rimrockers (and others) together to enjoy a common interest.  It is a casual way to connect to the body of Christ through an activity you enjoy.  A simple concept with wonderful impact on lives.

In the Fall and Winter Months we offer the following:

  • Men’s Racquetball

  • Recreational Volleyball

  • Ascension (college age): meets Thursdays at 7 pm at the Exchange for Bible study & discussion.
During the Summer, location changes, and we meet at Drew's home.  Contact Drew Meyer

  • 30s More or Less: meets the 1st & 3rd Sundays at 4 pm at the Exchange, during the Fall, Winter and Spring months. This group will begin meeting, again, in September.Contact Josh Nebelsick

  • 242 Groups: Inspired by Acts 2:42, these groups will gather 3-4 times this winter/spring and are designed to help people connect to others in the Rimrock Community. These are not bible studies, prayer groups or drop in social groups. Rather they are an opportunity to simply meet and spend time with other Rimrockers. Contact   for more info.

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry:
Shawls are lovingly handmade (knit, crochet or woven) out of soft yarn, prayed over by those who make it then wrapped around someone who needs comfort. They offer a vehicle through which hurting people can feel the loving arms of Jesus. Join Donna Wilkening & friends at the Exchange monthly. Contact Donna with any questions at (605) 391-5838. We will meet September 6th, 1pm at the Exchange.

Head a little deeper into the Hills on single track trails and enjoy a little challenge along with the beauty of it all.  The plan is to ride a different trail each week this summer. Meets on Wednesdays @ 5:30 pm. There is also opportunities to bike the Mickelson Trail.

For more information, contact Terry Nordine at 391-7345 or Dale Besler at 390-3331.
Planned ride for August 19th, after the second service.

Join in on the fun of decorating the church for various seasons and holidays. If you have a passion for bulletin boards, flower arrangements, displays, centerpieces, etc. contact the church.

The Emptynester  (60's +) group reflects it's name; most in the group have empty nests; the kids are grown and gone. This group enjoys socializing together through potlucks, game nights and lunches around the Hills. Many attend Bible studies together. Whatever they are doing, it is more fun doing it together- so please join in with them!
